Investment horizon
We regard ourselves as long-term investors and are less interested in short-term trading ideas. Given our longer-term investment horizon, we intend to acquire stakes in a limited number of companies, each of which we consider to be strategic to Fin.Co.

Region
We invest in euro-traded stocks with a critical focus in Benelux.

Market capitalisation
We have no market capitalization or liquidity restrictions, although we focus on companies with market capitalization below EUR 2,5 billion. Our investment criteria are based essentially on the strength of a company’s business model.

Investment criteria
In addition to third party research and advice, we conduct our own internal fundamental research , rigorously screening companies against our financial and operational benchmarks. We prefer companies whose management has clear mid- to long-term strategic views, with strongly positioned product portfolios and favourable sector trends. We invest across all sectors, but tend to overweight following key value drivers: organic growth, operating margins above 10%, ROE above 12% and a strong and sustainable cashflow generation. We attach great importance to access to company management to maintain clear visibility of the aforementioned criteria. Finally, our valuation approach is based primarily on cashflow returns (EV/EBITDA, free cashflow yield, Discounted Cashflow to the Firm).
