Finco enters into the capital of Bakkerij Aernoudt

Finco takes a minority stake in Bakkerij Aernoudt together with the current managers and owners Carolien De Sutter, Luc De Corte and Vectis Private Equity. Bakkerij Aernoudt is an artisan bakery with 29 bakeries in the surroundings of Ghent and differentiates itself through its broad and high-quality range of freshly baked products. Out of the bakery workshop located in Gentbrugge, the shops are supplied on a daily basis with around 200 own products.

The Company was founded in 1993 by Luc De Corte through the acquisition of Bakkerij Aernoudt in Ghent near the UZ Hospital. Ever since, the Company has realized a solid growth trajectory under the lead of the entrepreneurial duo Luc De Corte and Carolien De Sutter. In 2017, Vectis Private Equity entered into the capital to further support the growth strategy.

Bakkerij Aernoudt has the ambition to continue expanding its offering of locations through accessible and qualitative bakery shops, either organically or through strategic acquisitions. With the arrival of Finco, Bakkerij Aernoudt reinforces its capacity to accelerate its growth plans.
